It would cause cvs to pull the contents as of that date. I just don't know what date you would want to use to get the right version. I can't remember if there is a listing deal where you could see the various entries to CVS. That's one thing I never liked about CVS is there doesn't seem to be a list command to show all modules in CVS let alone entry points. I could be wrong on the entry points but I have done it before with the checkout script as I said earlier. The big trick would be to get the best date to pull from.
