The urls you have stated are correct. To update you, this also doesn't work on my new Fedora install which I believe uses 2.8.5.dev16 as does the machine on which I originally had trouble. While I installed the dev version myself on my desktop, the fedora version is "out-of-the-box" except that I of course turned on link numbering, show cursor, etc. Coming back to my original machine, I installed the debian unstable lynx package, which is 2.8.5-1. The urls in question work fine for me with this version of lynx, but since others were probably also using dev16 i'm not sure that explains the problem. However, I can now rule out it being an install mistake on my part on my debian machine, since the fedora core installation has the same problem. As for further urls, I'm afraid I'll have to wait until i'm back on the Fedora core machine, since i got rid of the dev version of lynx after installing the debian 8.5-1. I will do this as soon as I can; for now I can tell you that pressing enter on each link led to an url with one more link than the last page had and pressing on the last link of each page in turn led to a page that had one more link added, but without any text. the idea that 'index.html' was part of those pages is in my mind, but i won't be sure until I check it again. -- Cheryl "Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
