Hi all. I was finally able to get Slackware-10 installed and working on my laptop. The only problem I have found with it however is that I haven't found a suitable ACPI state from which the
system will cleanly recover from. When the machine comes out of S3, I lose my Speakup review keys. In some cases, there's also a noticable lag, which is normally replicated during high load
averages or significant disk I/O. I also tried S1, however I couldn't get the system out of S1 and back to a normalized state. Anyone know how to get an Inspiron600M out of S1? I attempted
hitting the power button as I did in S3 to wake the system up, however the machine seemed to be stuck in S1. The only sollution I have found thus far is to reboot, which defeats the purpose of
ACPI...Anyone have any other ideas/suggestions? Thanks!
