You might try holding F8 or one of the higher numbered F keys and see if you
get an option to boot to the CD-ROM drive.
You could hold down F8 and if you hear the CD drive spin up, arrow down
about 4 or 5 times and hit enter.

Hi folks,
  I am taking the big plunge and am working on getting the latest version of
RedHat installed on my laptop. I have downloaded the three Shrike iso images
and have burned each image to a CDR. When I boot up my laptop with CD 1 in
the CD-ROM drive, the CD spins up, but as far as I can ascertain the Linux
boot screen does not appear. Instead, my computer boots right up into
Windows. My guess is that the BIOS needs to be set, but I'm not entirely
certain if this is the case. If anyone has any thoughts, I'd appreciate
them.
My apologies if this has been brought up on this list before. If this is the
case, feel free to reply to me privately.
