Hi, Shaun. I do not know about Debian, but in most copies of gnome-speech they come with the test-speech utility. It is an esentual tool for testing. I can think of two possible problems here. One gnome-speech is not properly installed, or two whoever packaged the gnome-speech drivers for Debian did not include test-speech. If they did not include this esentual utility I would contact the package maintainer and have him/her fix the problem. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Shaun Oliver" <shaun.oliver@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Speakup is a screen review system for Linux." <speakup at braille.uwo.ca> Sent: Tuesday, April 27, 2004 2:25 AM Subject: Re: gnopernicus. > the test-speech utility don't come with the debian package. > which is what I'm using here. > I ain't brave enough yet to build from source. > > -- > Shaun Oliver > > > "I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person." > email: shaun.oliver at optusnet.com.au > WEB: http://blindman.homelinux.org/~blindman/ > IRC: irc.awesomechat.net:6666 > IRCNICK: blindman > > _______________________________________________ > Speakup mailing list > Speakup at braille.uwo.ca > http://speech.braille.uwo.ca/mailman/listinfo/speakup >
