I have to agree with Janina on this one. The only way we're going to get 
Linux out to the general population is if we have it both ways...I.E., 
Xandros, Redhat, Mandrake and the like. However, us people who like to 
tinker with things don't need to use those distributions, bc we still 
have LFS/Slackware/etc to play with. It's that balance that keeps things 
going the way they have been.
