ok, sorry to ask so many questions. I've made this windows 2000 laptop act like an ftp server . I can access it from other computers on the network by doing the usual ftp://ip address but in linux its not working. I do the following ftp open 172.16.7.180 which is the ip address of this machine. am I doing something rong? I need to get the FTP working to copy across the Kurnel.
