Hi all. I know that 10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255, 172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255, and 192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255 are reserved for class a, b, and c networks respectively. However, I was wondering why there are 3 different classes of networks (and reserved ip ranges), and how one decides which class to use? Thanks.
