Hi Janina and all.  You are correct, government and industry, as well as
business in general, should be more security conscious in the operating
systems and software they choose.  The problem is, that if MS Windows
products were to disappear, all the virus writers out there would
immediately turn their attention to whatever the most popular os is at
the time.  True, it takes a bit more inteligence to write worms that can
affect linux systems, but that doesn't mean it's impossible.  In one
way, I'm kind of thankful to Microsoft for writing such a sleesy
operating system.  It keeps the low life out there happy, think people
are paying attention to their viruses, so those of us running real oss
don't have to worry about them.  (grin)

But having said that, you still have apoint, that business industry and
government need to demand more quality and security in the software and
systems they choose to run.
