Hi: I recently upgraded to RH-9. After up2date -u to update all of the packages with the exception of the kernel which I did using rpms offered on speakup ftpsite, so now I have kernel 2.4.20-20.9spk2 installed. I made appropriate changes in lilo to indicate my synth to be used by speakup - speakup_synth=dectlk but after I rebooted my system, there is no speech coming through. Can you tell me what I'm missing here, please? Best wishes, Pawel.
