1) emacspeak for one wordprocessor and not the only one either, sc for a
spreadsheet as well as oleo and dismal works under emacspeak.  MYSQL maybe
for data base if you can figure out how to get it going.  lynx and links
for browsers and probably not the only ones either. 2)  yes, one way it's
being done is by running sawfish and having sawfish run emacspeak to get
an xterm window under X11.  No idea what's been done or being done but at
least one person has done it with emacspeak.  gnopernicus is also
available no idea if or how that works since I swing for the text side not
X11.
