Thanks for the pointer on where to look. I'll check the /boot partition out and see what I can find. When I installed the kernel, I copied it off the boot disk I had made with the procedure in speakup_install.txt on the slackware 8.0 disk set. -- Jude <dashielljt(at)gmpexpress-dot-net>
