newbie again: installed RedHat but Win ME won't let it even consider booting

Ok. having read this another suggestion which may seem stupid but you never
know it may help.

By default the timeout on your system may be quite short (if there is a
timeout at all). This would mean that WinME starts either straight away or
very quickly.

I'd recommend booting from a speakup disk and on the boot prompt specify
root=/dev/hda2 or whatever to get yourself into your system. Then make sure
that in /etc/lilo.conf there is an uncommented line saying "prompt" and that
underneath this there are lines such as delay=30 and timeout=30. 30=3
seconds so you could increase if you want.
