Ok. having read this another suggestion which may seem stupid but you never know it may help. By default the timeout on your system may be quite short (if there is a timeout at all). This would mean that WinME starts either straight away or very quickly. I'd recommend booting from a speakup disk and on the boot prompt specify root=/dev/hda2 or whatever to get yourself into your system. Then make sure that in /etc/lilo.conf there is an uncommented line saying "prompt" and that underneath this there are lines such as delay=30 and timeout=30. 30=3 seconds so you could increase if you want.
