I know there was an extensive thread on this a while back. I haven't been able to downloade books in the past; this time i've downloaded from the sample page but haven't tried a public domain book; i'm certainly not paying until I know everything is accessible. I'm reading the instructions for downloading, and they are talking about an "unpack tool" to be downloaded before starting to download copyrighted book. does anybody know if this 'unpack tool" is necessary and, if so, if it's exclusive to windows. has anybody been successfully downloading copyrighted books from bookshare on linux? As I say, I'm not putting out $75 dollars just to find myself locked out!
