Hi. Adam, your experiment is interesting, but I have a question. Why? I mean that I actually could run programs which were never accessible before and they came up talking with just Speakup and no DOS screen reader. WP 5.1+ and Quicken come to mind, but I also had good luck with the Turbo Pascal 7 IDE. It would seem to me that unless you had a good reason for needing a screen reader running under DOS, you would be better served by using the built-in Speakup review functions and abandoning a DOS screen reader. Besides, your DOS sessions have more free memory.
