Well, unfortuneately can't dump windblows me entirely. I've always used a mixed bag of windblows and Unix/Linux but I have a lot to learn about the system side of things and am constrained by the time for now to accomplish this. I did exactly as you describe and unpacked the speakfre.exe into a sub-directory by that name and it does not like the dsound.dll or .vxd on this system which are newer. So I copied the same files from my win95 box and it works with the older version but can't seem to hear anything. I'm pretty certain that i got to the reflector but nothing came through the sound card.
