I'm not sure what you mean by the older less accessable version.  The
speakfree.exe in the goodies area is meant to be dropped into the
directory that you unpacked speak freely into when you installed it.
It is just the executable.  The only difference is that it supports
mixed incoming audio certainly no requirement for talking with folks
on the reflector.  There are also jfw scripts in the goodies area for
speak freely which make it easier to figure out what the hell is going
on.

If you have an old version running just use it and folks on the
reflector will gladly tell you how to install newer versions.  Of
course, they'll probably recommend dumping windows first of all!
