LiteTalk 3.22 problem

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Thanks Kirk

I used 0.10a off the download site.
I have downloaded the CVS as well and I'm having problems compiling the
kernel.
I get an error 2 at the end of bzImage. "Make mrproper" doesn't seem to
help any.

I'll try the disc images. The info about the version of LiteTalk is good to
know.
I might convince my client to upgrade. However, the client just informed me
that he had a LiteTalk 4.71 as well. So I have a couple options.

Thanks a lot!

Josh

Hi Josh: If you compiled the kernel, which version of speakup did you
use? There were problems in some cases detecting LiteTalk of a early
rm revision because of a stupid autobaud feature of the LiteTalk. I
believe we have possibly solved that issue in the cvs version of
speakup. 3.22 is a pretty old LiteTalk. Bill Acker has prebuilt
redhat 7.1 and 7.2 cdrom images at
speakup.octothorp.org/pub/redhat.... Matt solution of using the
speakup_ser kernel option might work also but it caused other problems
later.

  Kirk
