Thanks Kirk I used 0.10a off the download site. I have downloaded the CVS as well and I'm having problems compiling the kernel. I get an error 2 at the end of bzImage. "Make mrproper" doesn't seem to help any. I'll try the disc images. The info about the version of LiteTalk is good to know. I might convince my client to upgrade. However, the client just informed me that he had a LiteTalk 4.71 as well. So I have a couple options. Thanks a lot! There were problems in some cases detecting LiteTalk of a early rm revision because of a stupid autobaud feature of the LiteTalk. I believe we have possibly solved that issue in the cvs version of speakup. 3.22 is a pretty old LiteTalk. Bill Acker has prebuilt redhat 7.1 and 7.2 cdrom images at speakup.octothorp.org/pub/redhat.... Matt solution of using the speakup_ser kernel option might work also but it caused other problems later.
