Hi Josh: If you compiled the kernel, which version of speakup did you use? There were problems in some cases detecting LiteTalk of a early rm revision because of a stupid autobaud feature of the LiteTalk. I believe we have possibly solved that issue in the cvs version of speakup. 3.22 is a pretty old LiteTalk. Bill Acker has prebuilt redhat 7.1 and 7.2 cdrom images at speakup.octothorp.org/pub/redhat.... Matt solution of using the speakup_ser kernel option might work also but it caused other problems later.
