Additional question about CVS, how does one know if there have been changes since the last CVS update that one applies? If I run the checkout script, I suppose it will pull down what files change and such. But to do this do I need to strip the kernel tree each time to put up a new CVS version or can I just apply it over the top of my previous CVS patch and re compile? Haven't heard of much change activity lately; I think I patched a CVS as of about 3 weeks or so ago. -----Original Message----- From: Kirk Reiser [mailto:kirk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, April 16, 2001 3:38 PM To: speakup at braille.uwo.ca Subject: Re: 10a vs cvs Speakup has gone through a number of major changes since the release of 10a. Truthfully I can't remember eveything which we have changed but some of the things include /proc support including configuration of speakup and doing away with loadspk/dumpspk. The ability of including multiple driver support in the kernel which is very useful for distribution developers. Improved sytn detection during boot up. And the list just keeps on going.
