Dear Victor: In regards to your question, I need a boot disk for Redhat and slackware that will recognise newer com ports. What has been happening is that when I try to load either redhat or slackware, the machine freezes after boot, and does not speak. The reason for this could be that Speakup or the kernel does not recognise machines with only 1 com and LPT port. Hope this throws some light on the subject. Regards: Bruce a.
