Just for completeness, I'm going to ask a stupid question. Did you make
sure that all of the lines in linux.bat were rem'ed out except the one
that contains root=/dev/hda1? I think there is an uncommented line that
assumes a zip drive of some sort. It's definitely before the one with
root=/dev/hda1. Incidentally the computer I had my problems on was also a
Dell.
