Even if the first register reads were "successful". > Peculiar! Looks like the correct solution is to completely disable the BMC. It clearly isn't compatible with using the driver as well. If that isn't possible is seems it needs to be marked BROKEN :-) Much like the main ethernet interface on my Ivy bridge i7.
