I took one look at that documentation, and decided NOT to use it. It's
much easier to use the more manual/standard way to compile the linux
kernel. (as you say) The offical Fedora way is absolutely brutal!!
(and there is no real advantage!). It seems really redundant to me, as
i compile the linux kernel frequently, i stay more towards the
bleeding edge. (more so than Fedora is anyway).
