I think you're suggesting that a host bridge bus number aperture might be larger than ACPI reports, and that we should somehow accommodate that, i.e., something like this: ACPI: PCI Root Bridge [PCI0] (domain 0000 [bus 00-1f]) pci 0000:00:1c.0: PCI bridge to [bus [10-22] pci 0000:10:01.0: CardBus bridge to [bus 1e-22] pci 0000:1e:00.0: PCI bridge to [bus 20] pci 0000:20:00.0: With my patches, we'd refuse to scan behind the bridge at 1e:00.0, and I think you're suggesting that we *should* scan behind it. I'm dubious. How do you propose to identify a "default" host bridge where we should ignore the bus range from _CRS? Is there a real machine like this?
