you would need "phy_ti_pipe3" along with the AHCI and scsi modules.

That is a good idea.

However SATA seems to be failing right at u-boot level from your log.
That doesn't seem right.

Can you please try to power cycle board and hard drive always till we
have got the eSATA issue figured out?
