I am using Gentoo Linux, with the r4 "gentoo-sources" package of 2.6.19. When I boot this system I have strange behaviour from the NICs. The kernel appears to report eth0 and eth1, the hotplug services attempt to configure it, but are unable to. However, the kernel also reports and eth2 and eth3. I really do not know what info to send . MSI Doesn't seem to work real well. Dell PowerEdge 860 Broadcom (tg3) 1Gb nics.
