From: "Hoobastang" <hoobastang@rediffmail.com> Date: 13 Feb 2003 06:01:57 -0000 you r right, the TOS are different, the first entry has a TOS of 10, & when I ping the linux Mc, another entry is made in the rtable, with a TOS of 0. The new entry disappers after some time (may be timed out) but the first entry is persistant, what does this mean ? i didn't really understand the significance :-( Routing table entires installed are merely templates for routing cache entries. The routing table entries you have say "any TOS" but when a rtcache entry is made for that, the rtcache entry has a specific TOS from the IPV4 header of the packet being sent/received. - : send the line "unsubscribe linux-net" in the body of a message to majordomo@vger.kernel.org More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
