you r right, the TOS are different, the first entry has a TOS of 10, & when I ping the linux Mc, another entry is made in the rtable, with a TOS of 0.
The new entry disappers after some time (may be timed out) but the first entry is persistant, what does this mean ? i didn't really understand the significance :-(

When I display the routing cache in Linux, using route -C command,
it shows me multiple entries for a given source & destination
address pair.

There are other parameters of the route, such as TOS field, that
can make these entires unique from one another. Use
/proc/net/rt_cache to see the other fields.
