Bonding/Channeling of NICs..

Hi,

I want to bond together 2 NIC's that I have(or channel them; Something
that can give me 400meg of aggregate bandwidth). So, I have 2 NIC's, 2
Cisco Catalyst 6509 switches. My kenrel: 2.2.14, standard RH 6.2 build.

Now, I tried my hand on 'bonding' these NIC's together, but this requires
two switches, and also they need to be 'unmanaged' switches, as the
bonding method doesnt work correctly. I get my bond0 interface up, and my
eth0 and eth1 show up also, with the same MAC address, but I lose 50% of
my packets..So, this is a no-go.

So, I plan on setting up a fast etherchannel trunk on my Catalyst for
this, but what do I need to do on the Linux side? This is where I am
running into problems. I would like to have 2 NIC's in a server going
directly into the same switch and doing etherchannel. Im at a loss on what
to do on the Linux side.

Thanks.
