Dear Jonathan,
There is some bugs I have fixed for Kfifo. I am not sure whether
it is already fixed by anyone else. Where can I see the latest code for
Kfifo? The rc5 does not even include your fix about poll.
Poll support for kfifo was one of the bits that didn't go in because I
wanted a bit more review time for it. It'll go in early in the next cycle. I'll start putting a branch together for that with anything
new that comes in. If you have kfifo fixes that are applicable to the
current tree please do send those to me and they'll go in as fixes for
3.6 wherease the poll support will be in 3.7 as I imagine will your driver.

For now just merge the two published kfifo fixes (off the mailing
list) with your tree and state in driver submissions that you are
on top of them.

I guess it is
not "latest" enough. There are also two directories for IIO. One is under
staging and one is not. Clearly none of them works well since it lacks a
lot of files/defines.
Directory should be irrelevant. Some drivers are still in drivers/staging/iio but the core is entirely in drivers/iio.
There is no problem at all with drivers in drivers/staging/iio including
and using elements from include/linux/iio / drivers/iio
In fact they are all doing so.

The intent over the next cycle or two is to get all of the drivers
in drivers/staging/iio out into drivers/iio with the exception
of a couple of drivers that should go into hwmon as they never really
belonged in IIO to start with.

We've been a little lax on moving even entirely clean drivers over
mainly because it takes someone caring enough to do the relatively
minor work. Lars-Peter took all the dac drivers across (probably
as there were only a couple that he wasn't maintaining anyway).

I've been meaning to move most of the accelerometers but there always
seems something more interesting to do ;)

We also need to work on moving the documentation across in the near
future but it's hard to motivate oneself to do that ;)

	Thanks.
Best Regards,

Ge GAO

Hi All,

As Linus has pretty much said he won't do another release candidate, the
3.6 merge window will open in approximately
1 week. For IIO I'm copying Greg's policy with staging (for obvious
reasons ;) and closing our merge window now.
Rather tediously this means cutting a few of my own patches off. Oh well
got to be fair about things and I'll have those queued up for 3.7 nice and
early!

Obviously fixes can still get queued up for 3.6, but will probably not go
upstream until after 3.6-rc1. As ever, please make sure that fixes are
entirely separate from improvements / feature enhancements / new drivers.

Jonathan
