Apologies for not replying to the correct part of this thread, but my server locked up loosing recent emails.. I think this kind of suggests that the server has a hardware fault, so is in-line for replacement. In response to Stan Hoeppner (sorry, I don't have your email address), the problem occurs with and without the sata cable plugged in.
