Hi all on the SYNOPSYS DESIGNWARE I2C DRIVER list, I run Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS Linux on a DELL Alienware Aurora R7. Testing whether the msg is NULL have proven to fix the issue on my machine for the last couple of weeks.
