I.e., BIOS still should have a fix? and, fwiw, `pwmconfig` now executes correctly, generating /etc/fancontrol data/config. given BIOS's foibles, is it generally recommended to USE thermal/fan control via `fancontrol` on linux/OS? or leave it to BIOS?
