After looking at the code in the dst module, I believe that the "Unsupported" messages are a red herring. The code simply emits these messages when trying to figure out what sort of tuner is on the card. It apparently does figure it out, which is what the "[DST-03T] has a [MB 86A15]" message is indicating. I had thought I was having problems with the driver because I am unable to get any channels from a stream which I know is easy to tune in under Windows (AMC3 87W, F=12180000000, Pol=V, SR=30000000, FEC=Auto, Inversion=Auto). I've tried several other streams on the same bird, but with the same results. I will post the problem I'm seeing on a new thread. Consider this one closed for now. Thanks for your help. - Corey --- Corey Ashford <yeroca@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > I just now tried pulling the VP-3250 card, and the result is the > same, > as you can see below: > > ... > bttv: driver version 0.9.17 loaded > bttv: using 8 buffers with 2080k (520 pages) each for capture > bt878: Unknown symbol bttv_read_gpio > bt878: Unknown symbol bttv_write_gpio > bt878: Unknown symbol bttv_gpio_enable > wifi0: Atheros 5212: mem=0xfeae0000, irq=22 > bttv: Bt8xx card found (0). > ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:02:0b.0[A] -> GSI 23 (level, low) -> IRQ 16 > bttv0: Bt878 (rev 17) at 0000:02:0b.0, irq: 16, latency: 32, mmio: > 0xbfefc000 > bttv0: detected: Twinhan VisionPlus DVB [card=113], PCI subsystem ID > is > 1822:0001 > bttv0: using: Twinhan DST + clones [card=113,autodetected] > bttv0: gpio: en=00000000, out=00000000 in=00f500ff [init] > bttv0: tuner absent > bttv0: add subdevice "dvb0" > net wlan0: device_rename: sysfs_create_symlink failed (-17) > udev: renamed network interface ath0 to wlan0 > ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:01:00.0[A] -> GSI 16 (level, low) -> IRQ 17 > NVRM: loading NVIDIA UNIX x86 Kernel Module 169.07 Thu Dec 13 > 18:42:56 PST 2007 > bt878: AUDIO driver version 0.0.0 loaded > bt878: Bt878 AUDIO function found (0). > ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:02:0b.1[A] -> GSI 23 (level, low) -> IRQ 16 > bt878_probe: card id=[0x11822],[ Twinhan VisionPlus DVB ] has DVB > functions. > bt878(0): Bt878 (rev 17) at 02:0b.1, irq: 16, latency: 32, memory: > 0xbfefd000 > DVB: registering new adapter (bttv0) > ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:00:1f.5[B] -> GSI 17 (level, low) -> IRQ 20 > PCI: Setting latency timer of device 0000:00:1f.5 to 64 > dst(0) dst_get_device_id: Recognise [DST-03T] > dst(0) dst_get_device_id: Unsupported > dst(0) dst_get_device_id: Unsupported > dst(0) dst_get_device_id: [DST-03T] has a [MB 86A15] > dst(0) dst_get_device_id: [DST-03T] has a [MB 86A15] > DST type flags : 0x2 ts204 0x4 symdiv 0x10 firmware version = 2 > dst(0) dst_get_mac: MAC Address=[00:08:ca:16:bc:00] > DVB: registering frontend 0 (DST DVB-S)... > > > I did remove the tuner "can" cover on the board, and found that this > card is indeed using an LG tuner.
