Did you work with the v4l-dvb-experimental tree? It would be nice if you could send me a diff against the experimental tree so that we can add support for these device too there, there are already saa7134, cx88, em28xx xc3028/xc3018/xc2028 based devices supported in that tree: http://mcentral.de/hg/~mrec/v4l-dvb-experimental thanks, Markus On 5/7/07, ras243-dvb@xxxxxxxxx <ras243-dvb@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:
Hi Daniel, Just a follow up to our previous discussions which I'm CC'ing to the list as I think it'll be of use to others. You were right in that my original small firmware file seemed to hang the usb bus with the experimental branch - not really a good thing since it required a power down reset to fix. I have absolutely no idea why as it shouldn't be dependant on size. Now that you've fixed the module unloading and I've caught up with some emails I've had a chance to have another look at it. The attached firmware file is simply a concatenation of the original DTV7 file (or DTV8 as they're identical) plus the small Australian firmware file (minus the first byte version number) and it seems to resolve the issue. You'll also need to set the input frequency registers in the zl10353 to 0x22 and 0x17 as well as change the offset for 7MHz in xc3028-tuner.c to 2250000. This will hopefully make things work. BTW for others this firmware file can also be used in place of the original one with the master branch so when the experimental branch merges with the master we won't need to change the firmware.
