that behavior seems to be useful in this case!
Guess you should add a comment for others looking at it in the future ;)

Out of some reasons the gpio switch to the DVB-T antenna input in
saa7134-dvb.c asus_p7131_dual_tuner_init _seems_ not functional on that
variant, still investigating and no ideas.

Likely to early. The issue with the toggle bit was solved and we found
also good timings for the key presses, but Marc asked for testers on the
bttv RC5 at first to ensure it is unbroken after his latest merges to
avoid duplicate code. Also dprintk is not yet functional and printks are
used.

Maybe some more is left for sysfs *dev stuff, since I notice on a
2.6.18-rc1 that every reload of the IR increases the eventN usage count,
but not further investigated and my other card with remote isn't plugged
currently. 

Else, from the point of usability, it still works perfect, but seems I'm
still the only tester, also no reports for other variants including
the :4876, but I'm confident.
