I did notice that v4l has a soft link oss which points to . and thought that might be the cause and commented the creation out in the makefile, but it wasn't that, as it still happened. Also to be accurate, it seems to be inside the linux headers - at least this is how it starts:- ./scripts/make_myconfig.pl make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/v4l-dvb/v4l' make[1]: Entering directory `/root/v4l-dvb/v4l' creating symbolic links... make -C /lib/modules/2.6.16-2-686/build SUBDIRS=/root/v4l-dvb/v4l modules make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.16-2-686' Updating/Creating .config Updating/Creating .config Updating/Creating .config Updating/Creating .config Updating/Creating .config Updating/Creating .config Updating/Creating .config -- Alan Chandler http://www.chandlerfamily.org.uk _______________________________________________ linux-dvb mailing list linux-dvb@xxxxxxxxxxx http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/linux-dvb
