This is strange. 13 13 13 is not the expected value / >on the contrary, you
should get the MAC address as written on label of >your box.

Basically it seems that the I2C is not working >correctly.

Can you try another PC - even in Windows?

I get a similarly incorrect MAC address:
root@htpc-linux:/home/mythtv# dmesg | grep MAC
[17179590.748000] dvb-usb: MAC address: 00:0d:fe:5f:5f:5f

-- it says 000dfe084762 on the base of the unit.

There don't appear to be any further responses yo that thread, so I
don't know if a resolution was reached.

Any ideas?
