AFAIK you can checkout the latest driver from the old cvs. See http://linuxtv.org/repo/ , pretty down to the bottom there is a section "Checkout old dvb-kernel CVS tree" which coverts kernel 2.4 as well. You should get a recent firware too, e.g. 2623-f2 BTW: I'm using this driver, as I'm with kernel 2.4 too.
