Hi all, I have an old system with a 2.4 kernel (and I unfortunately cannot upgrade it) and a systar2 card. The last released dvb drivers (linuxtv-dvb-1.1.1) compile well, but they have knows bugs that (I think) have been fixed after the 1.1.1 release. So, I tried to install some more recent drivers... But I did not manage to find a recent snapshot of the drivers that compile with a 2.4 kernel. I see that similar questions have been asked on this mailing list in the past, but I did not find any definitive answer: what's the latest version of the DVB drivers that can compile with a 2.4 kernel? I downloaded today's hg snapshot, and I see that there is a Makefile.kern24 file, so I hoped that it would compile... But this is what I get: scripts/make_makefile.pl /tmp/linux-2.4.32 creating symbolic links... echo srcdir /tmp/linux-2.4.32 srcdir /tmp/linux-2.4.32 make -C /tmp/linux-2.4.32 SUBDIRS=/tmp/v4l-dvb-a3a095225de1/v4l CFLAGS="-I../linux/include -D__KERNEL__ -I/tmp/linux-2.4.32/include -DEXPORT_SYMTAB" modules make[1]: Entering directory `/tmp/linux-2.4.32' make -C /tmp/v4l-dvb-a3a095225de1/v4l CFLAGS="-I../linux/include -D__KERNEL__ -I/tmp/linux-2.4.32/include -DEXPORT_SYMTAB -DMODULE -DMODVERSIONS -include /tmp/linux-2.4.32/include/linux/modversions.h" MAKING_MODULES=1 modules make[2]: Entering directory `/tmp/v4l-dvb-a3a095225de1/v4l' scripts/make_makefile.pl make[2]: Nothing to be done for `modules'. make[2]: Leaving directory `/tmp/v4l-dvb-a3a095225de1/v4l' make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/linux-2.4.32' and no .o file is created.
