The safest way to unload a module is "modprobe -r" and it will unload that module plus dependencies that may have loaded.Michael: After reading the last email with my glasses on, I went through the steps to get the nxt2004 firmware (I somehow missed that) and it loaded when the scan began. I managed to get a lock on several of the stations. Not that I'm greedy, but any ideas on why I need to unload and reload saa7134-dvb ??? John Maybe check in your /etc directory for a modprobe.conf.local of some sort that is causing other modules to load as a pre-requisite to the saa7134 module. I run Suse and I have a modprobe.d directory that had some weird stuff in a modprobe config file that created all sorts of btv module dependencies. I got the following message "main:2228: FATAL: failed to open '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0': 16 Device or resource busy" I then unloaded saa7134-dvb using the force option (rmmod saa7134-dvb -f) and reloaded it. The scan process then started. I tried both the ATSC and NTSC frequences on BOTH antenna ports on the card, and didn't get one single channel defined in my channels.conf Just to avert any issues about getting a signal, without moving my antenna, I plugged in a ATSC STB and was able to receive 4 different channels ranging in strength form 65% to 85% Any idea's what I doing wrong? Am I loaded the drivers in the wrong order? Looking through the threads, you also mention that you have ATSC working!I am not the developer for this particular device, but I am the UNofficial linux-atsc maintainer, and I've been helping the developers with this over email. I HAVE written code to support AVerTV HD a180, which is similar in design, but not exactly the same. The threads have been VERY helpful, but I've been trying for DAYS trying to get this working. The NTSC stuff works, SVideo and Comp work. I just can't seem to get the ATSC tuner working.I wrote a quick howto @ http://linuxtv.org/~mkrufky/atscscanI've downloaded the latest Mercurial tree (as of yesterday) and managed to get all of the drivers loaded.Good -- You'll need this, since the driver will not go into the kernel until 2.6.17, the earliest.I'm running 2.6.15.4 <http://2.6.15.4> Kernel, Knoppmyth....
