I have now put the card into a different machine because the one I was using earlier was an athlon 64 with 64bit kernel and userland. To make sure that this was not the problem I'm now trying it on a 32bit kernel machine (still an athlon 64 tho). The machine has a fresh installed kubuntu on it with current linux-dvb-cvs. The results are still the same as earlier. Loading saa7146 with saa7146_debug=99 i get lots of these in my dmesg: [4301981.740000] saa7146: saa7146_wait_for_debi_done(): timed out while waiting for transfer completion [4301982.092000] saa7146: saa7146_wait_for_debi_done(): timed out while waiting for transfer completion Maybe that rings a bell with someone. I'm not yet ready to give up and move on on this yet. The thing does work under windows and people have reported that it's working for them under linux too - all I'm missing is a report that it's actually working for someone with a recent kernel.
