Hi Mike,

I'm wondering if you can comment on on a couple of things (that together
may or may not be related):

- Someone on AVS opened up a unit a while back and reported the presence
of an IC, which I believe would be the Cirrus Logic/Crystal 533KZ audio
decoder. But I can't figure out why it would be present (i.e. why is it
being used in lieu of the Conexant CX25843 A/V decoder) ?
- However, if indeed that is the IC, then there might be some sort of
connection to the fact that several people reported having trouble with
audio on the analog side of the unit. In fact, word got around that a
Dvico CSR had mentioned in an email correspondence that the unit was
incapable of providing stereo sound in analog. I never found the
posting of this supposed Dvico email message. Personally, it struck me
that these individuals were either confused or had misinterpreted
whatever the Dvico agent stated.

Anyways, any thoughts? Thanks.
