Why not just follow directions? I just realized, there IS an alternative to cvs... You can use the VIEWCVS web interface to download a tarball of the current CVS snapshot. http://linuxtv.org/cvs.php You will have to get tarballs from both video4linux and dvb-kernel cvs, and expand them both in the same level directory. I'm not going to give step-by-step instructions here... Please see the howto. This is very easy to do, but it is *much* easier to just use cvs the normal way and follow the instructions in the howto.
