On 2.6.12-rc3 I used All-2.6.12-rc3.diff.bz2, but 2.6.12-rc4 has everything in so no need for patches. On 2.6.11.x you need the bytesex cvs-patch and the kernel .config only needs the dvbcore module selected or you end up with two sets of modules with the wrong ones selected for loading.
