My modprobe.conf does not have an entry for cx88_blackbird. Where else
do modules get loaded?

I do have entries for dvb_core
  alias char-major-81 cx88-dvb
  install dvb_core /sbin/modprobe dvb_core
  options dvb_core dvb_shutdown_timeout=0

I added these lines, but it had no effect.
  install cx88_dvb /sbin/modprobe cx88_dvb
  remove cx88_blackbird

Is this the right syntax? Can someone post the relevant section of
their modprobe.conf?

Many Thanks
