Summary: Extreme stutter streaming A2DP audio to IMC device
                    13d3:3315
           Product: Drivers
           Version: 2.5
    Kernel Version: 3.2.0-39-generic
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
              Tree: Mainline
            Status: NEW
          Severity: blocking
          Priority: P1
         Component: Bluetooth
        AssignedTo: linux-bluetooth@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: davidmcnabnz@xxxxxxxxx
        Regression: No

Symptom noticed on EeePC 1015BX running Linux Mint 13 LXDE (32bit), which has
an on-board IMC Networks bluetooth adapter, which is electrically wired as a
USB device, with ID 13d3:3315.

Using bluez bluetooth stack, pulseaudio audio framework and blueman management
utility, I am able to pair the device and set up the A2DP connection. However,
streaming of audio is very choppy, with dropouts of several hundred
milliseconds happening dozens of times a minute.

I tried plugging in a Cambridge Silicon Radio-based USB bluetooth dongle, with
the ID 0a12:0001, and A2DP audio streaming works 100% perfectly. Zero dropouts.

The bluetooth peripheral is Logitech Wireless Headset (no model number).

Please note that according to Blueman, the internal IMC device reports the same
signal quality and connection quality as the Cambridge Silicon Radio dongle, so
I would tend to rule out the RF transceiver and internal antenna as a possible
cause.

Apologies if this bug has already been rectified in a later kernel. I did
search the tracker but found no references to IMC Networks, or the device ID.

I would be very grateful to see this issue resolved. A major reason for having
a netbook computer is its convenience and portability, and needing to plug in
an external dongle, vulnerable to bumps and damage, takes away from this.
