That is a valid usage, but you can forget lofi here. You are describing
something like e.g. gated drums. Using reverb as a synth sound effect
and not as a reverb is something you very seldom will do. Also what Fons
mentioned, to add a special reverb to a solo voice is something you
won't do that often.
