To rock without protection is very dangerous. OTOH for me acute hearing loss more often was caused psychologically than by too loud music. The medicine you get is poison and it's without guarantee. If you really lose hearing of some frequencies, it can't be healed anymore. Better protect your ears in the future. Btw. in Germany the maintenance of industrial health and safety standards are null and void if you work with children.
